Welcome to the Wirtz Labor Digital Library

The following instructions will aid you in locating digital library materials pertaining to the history of labor, labor unions, and the growth and development of the labor movement in a national and world context.

Locating Materials in the Collection
  • Search:
  • Enter a keyword in the Search For box to search the full text of all documents.
  • Click on Advanced Search Options to choose additional fields to search by.
  • Click on Help to view more detailed instructions on how to conduct an advanced search.
Browse:
  • Under the Browse function digital objects are ranked and organized into folders by subject.
  • Click through folders as you would browse the files on your desktop
  • Your path through the browse structure is tracked at the top of the page, allowing you to retrace your steps
Browse/Search Combination:
  • At any point in the browse process, type a search term in the Search For box to search within that browse folder
